Andre Norton the
science fiction and fantasy author, was born in Cleveland, Ohio,
USA. Her first novel
was published in1934. She surrounded herself with books and cats;
editing many cat anthologies and writing numerous short stories about
them. Her last published work, "Renaissance
Faire" included a short story, “Faire Likeness”
featuring a cat she adopted.
