This Disney
animated feature film was put into general
release on June 24,1994.
Most of the voices are those of well-known actors, which include:
Whoopi Goldberg, James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons,
Rowan Atkinson, Nathan Lane,
Matthew Broderick, Moira Kelly, Cheech
Marin, Robert Guillaume, and
Jonathan Taylor Thomas. The songs
are written by composer Elton John and lyricist
Tim Rice, the film score
is by Hans Zimmer.
In the plot, Simba's father, Mufasa is the
lion king. He is a wise and kind ruler.
But Mufasa's younger brother,
Scar is jealous of his nephew's position as heir to the
throne, and so plots against him. Mufasa
teaches Simba
about the Circle of Life and how
all things are connected in a balance.
