Sarah Snow was a beautiful long-haired white cat, who belonged
to author, Sir Kingsley Amis (1922-1995.) He said: " I am enough of a
cat-lover to be suspicious of a household that doesn't have a cat... I associate
a person having a cat with them being gentler than other
people."

first novel, Lucky Jim (1954.) as one of the most prominent of the
so-called ‘angry young men’. Subsequent
works include Take a Girl Like You (1960), Jake’s Thing (1978)
