Freezing Felines

In Pittsburgh in the 19th century a special breed of cat was reared, to control the many rodents that had become a problem in the large commercial refrigeration plants. The cats developed thick fur and tufted ears. They even managed to reproduce in the icy conditions and the kittens were supplied to other cold storage Companies.
