Cat Saves Families From Death by Fire
July 30th 2002
A cat saved the lives of several families by alerting them
to a fire in an apartment block in Essen, Germany before dying in the
flames. The cat's miaowing woke up its owner on Sunday night who alerted
her neighbours and called the fire brigade. Some fled and others were
rescued.
