Pussy Galore

Pussy Galore was the name of author, Ian Fleming's pet octopus, and was the name he used in his novel, “Goldfinger” for the lesbian character, who was later to become straight, (or was it Bond's influence!) for the movie version. The movie came out in1964, with Honor Blackman immortalised as the female vixen Pussy Galore. The producers were going to change the name to Kitty, but decided to stick with Fleming’s original name.
