The Cat-Flap
It is reported that in some old Spanish houses, there was a hole
cut to allow domestic cats a free passage. But It is believed that the great
philosopher Sir Isaac Newton, famous for his laws of motion and gravity, was the
inventor of the cat-flap.
Newton, a confirmed cat lover who was deeply concerned about the
welfare of his feline companions, was laughed at by his friends when they saw
that he had provided two openings in his front door; one for his cat, the other
for her kittens.
