Clarence
Clarence was a cross-eyed lion
who starred in a television series and a movie in the 1960's. Ralph
Helfer and Ivan Tors, who owned a centre called ' Africa USA' near Los Angeles
had a small lion cub with a squint, who grew up to be one of the most amenable
of all tame lions. He starred in a movie called "Clarence the Cross-Eyed
Lion in 1965. Later in 1966 to 1969, he featured in the TV series "Daktari"
which was filmed entirely in California.
