Tiger, Tigress, Tiger Cub - Triumph
Motorcycles |
Triumph Motorcycles was founded in 1902 by two Germans,
Siegfried Bettman & Muaritz Shulte. The company used the names
"Tiger" and Tiger Cub for two of their motorcycles, and the
tigress was the name given to their scooters.
Between 1973 and 1983 the company had a hard time keeping
it’s head above the water. After monitored the Japanese market closely Triumph adjusted it’s modular building of motorcycles and developed
the first purpose built model – the Daytona TT600, proving that it could
compete against the design of Japanese bikes. The modern Triumph motorcycles
have taken part in every facet of motorcycle sport; Triumphs have won road
races, trials, moto-cross, enduros, hill climbs, sprints and drag races.
