Panther
Motorcycles were manufactured in Cleckheaton, Yorkshire, UK from 1900 to
1967. They were often used with sidecars, but when sidecars lost popularity
in the1960s the collapse of the British motorcycle industry brought
production to an end.
Panther's big 600cc bikes were among their most famous, and
were promoted as the "Perfected Motorcycle," A 250cc Red Panther
won the Maudes Trophy in 1934. The final Panther being, the 645cc Model 120
built in 1967. After that The company had a short-lived concession to sell
French Terrot scooters in 1968.
