Cats Across Continents
|
North America |

|
North America is the third largest continent, and extends
from Greenland and Alaska down to the semi-desert of Mexico and
sub-tropical forest of Panama. In parts of Canada, much of the vast
expanse of boreal forest still exists. Along the western side are the
Rocky Mountain range, extensively covered by mixed pine forest. Although
the wild cat population of the continent was once widespread, man has
severely reduced there numbers.
