My Little Cat
You never really know
What a cat is going to do
He may rub against your leg
He may run away from you
Every time I pet him
He gives a little purr
And everwhere he goes
He leaves a little fur
He goes in the litter box
That I scoop and scoop all day
He scratches up my furniture
And he never will obey
And when I let him go outside
He brings me back a prize
A twig, a rock, a mouse or two
But when I look into his eyes
I know he's saying thank you
For everything I do
I love my little cat
And I know he loves me too
