Jean-Claude Suarès
New York graphic designer Jean-Claude Suarès has an obvious
passion for cats, as his wonderful literature and photography clearly
shows. Here are just three of the numerous books by Jean-Claude Suarès:
Scarlet Saves Her family:
The
heartwarming tale of the New York City cat who, though badly burned
herself, saved her five kittens, one by one, from a fire in an abandoned
garage.
A
collection of felinity as represented in art, literature, and photography.
Cats
performing, playing, hiding, or just plain posing. With Fifty illustrations.
Egyptian-born Suarès is reported to have said of his
youth: " I was never allowed a cat or a car in my homeland, so when I
came to the United States I got a cat and a Rolls-Royce. Then I started to
multiply everything...my record number of cats is thirteen and my record
number of Rolls-Royces is nineteen."
