Making Your Own Cat Food
Here is a very good recipe for making your own cat food.
It contains all the ingredients to provide your pet with a well-balanced
diet.
-
1lb (450g) cooked minced beef.
-
8oz (225g) cooked rice without salt.
-
4oz (115g)
cooked beef of pork liver, finely diced.
-
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
-
1 teaspoon calcium carbonate (crushed antacid tablets)
Once thoroughly mixed together, the ingredients can be
placed in small bags or containers and frozen for future use. Bear in
mind that once defrosted the food will only keep in a refrigerator for
2-3 days . My own cat just can't tolerate any
other food. We have tried many different tinned, sachet and dry foods which
she will happily eat, but they always have the same effect - diarrhoea! Since
feeding her this recipe her stools are normal with hardly any smell.
