Hi, I recently read your articles and e mails on your site and
I felt I had to get in touch. I live alone with my two cats Shiva and
Billie and I regularly take them both for long walks through the woods
near my house. It all started when the little one, Billie wanted to follow
me and I decided to try and coax her a little more each day. After about a
year I can now walk both of my cats without a lead wherever I choose.
Anybody reading this who wants to try it, remember, they only have
little legs and they tire quicker than us humans. I now stick to a few
different routes of about 2 miles and I know that they really enjoy it. It
is especially good to see there faces when we arrive somewhere new with a
good scenery. one day when I pass my driving test I am going to take them
to the mountains or the lake district.
Taking your cat for a walk should be encouraged and I feel that I am
enhancing their lives as I don't think they would go to some of the places
we go to on their own. Thanks for listening...Long live our furry friends.
