I read your paragraph on how cats relate to
cat phobics and
thought I'd relate a tale (no pun intended) to you...
We had a number of gas engineers at our house last year re-fitting the
central heating system and one of them told me he had a phobia of cats, so I
kept our tom locked in one room or another, and also for the cats safety as
there was a lot of building work going on. As I moved him from one room to
another he didn't mind the guys to-and-frowing and was happy until one move
when he spotted the cat-phobic from maybe 15 ft away and clawed out of my
arms in panic, ripping my shirt and scratching me like he'd never done
before. He detected the fear in this guy and was terrified, running back
into the other room. The other guys reaction was almost as similar, when he

was happy to do. Strange that our cat picked up the vibe in a split
